Smart US500 - Quick Start Guide

This guide will help you get the EA running in just a few minutes.

1. Install the EA

• Open MetaTrader 5 (MT5).
• Log in to your MQL5.com account by going to Tools → Options → Community and entering your MQL5 username and password.
• Log in to your broker trading account.
• Open the Navigator window (Ctrl + N).
• Under Market, find Smart US500.
• Drag the EA onto your chart.

If you don't see the EA, restart MT5 or refresh the Navigator window.

2. Enable Automated Trading

Before the EA can trade:

• Click the Algo Trading button at the top of MT5 so it is green.
• When attaching the EA, make sure Allow Algo Trading is ticked.

If everything is working correctly, you should see a smiley face in the top-right corner of the chart.

3. Open the Correct Chart

Every broker names their US500 index slightly differently.

Look in Market Watch under your broker's Indices or Index CFDs folder for something like:

• US500
• SP500
• SP500X
• US500.cash
• US500m

If you can't find it, right-click inside Market Watch, choose Symbols, and look through the Indices section.

Open a chart for your broker's US500 symbol, then drag Smart US500 onto that chart.

4. EA Settings

The EA works well with the default settings. There are only a few things you should check.

Magic Number

If you're running more than one EA on your account, make sure the Magic Number is different for each EA.

If Smart US500 is your only EA, you can leave the default value.

Risk

By default, the EA uses a Fixed Lot Size of 0.10 lots.

This is the minimum trade size for most US500 brokers.

If you would rather size trades automatically, change the lot sizing mode to X Lots Per X Balance.

5. Understanding the Risk Settings

The default automatic risk is set for 0.10 lots per 150 balance for GBP accounts. This gives approximately a 25% maximum historical drawdown.

If your account is funded in another currency, adjust the X Balance value to keep similar risk.

• GBP: 150
• USD: 200
• EUR: 176
• AUD: 300
• JPY: 32,600

These values are approximate and based on exchange rates.

To change your risk:

• Higher X Balance number = Lower risk.
• Lower X Balance number = Higher risk and higher drawdown.

Everyone's account size and risk tolerance is different, so it is recommended to test different settings in the MT5 Strategy Tester before trading live.

6. Price Adjusted Risk

Smart US500 includes an optional Price Adjusted Risk mode.

When enabled:

• Lower US500 prices increase position size slightly.
• Higher US500 prices reduce position size slightly.

This helps keep profits more consistent as the index price changes over time.

This setting is optional and can be left disabled if preferred.

7. Other Settings

The EA also includes:

• Holiday filters.
• Maximum broker lot size limits.

These settings are mainly intended for larger accounts and long-term backtesting. Most users can leave them at their default values.

Troubleshooting

If Smart US500 isn't placing trades, check the following:

• You are logged into both your broker account and your MQL5.com account.
• Algo Trading is enabled.
• The EA is attached to the correct US500/SP500 symbol.
• Your broker allows trading on that symbol.
• The market is open.

1. Chart Requirements

This EA must be attached exclusively to the XAUUSD chart on the H1 (1 Hour) timeframe. Using other timeframes may result in inaccurate entry signals.

2. Core Strategy Settings

• Auto-Lot: True (We recommend letting the EA size positions based on equity).
• Max Spread: 30 (To prevent opening trades during severe market slippage).
• News Filter: Built-in. It will automatically pause trading 30 minutes before High Impact USD news.

1. Optimal Setup

Open three separate charts (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD) on the M15 timeframe. Attach the EA to each chart separately. The EA recognizes the symbols and adjusts its internal algorithms accordingly.

2. The Equity Protector

The most important feature of Prosperity is the Hard Drawdown Limit. By default, this is set to 15%. This means in absolute worst-case market conditions, the EA will forcefully close all positions to protect 85% of your capital.

1. Single-Chart Execution

• Account Limits: Each EA license is strictly limited to a maximum of five (5) specific MT5 account numbers of your choosing.
• Prohibited Actions: You may not resell, redistribute, sub-license, decompile, reverse-engineer, or otherwise copy the EA files or source code.
• Affiliate Exception: The only exception to the distribution rule is for officially approved InVestaTech affiliates and partners operating under a separate, formal partnership agreement.

4. Refund Policy (14-Day Guarantee)

We stand by our software. If you are unsatisfied with a purchased EA, we offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee from the date of purchase.

Important Refund Condition: Due to the nature of digital software licensing, if you claim a refund, your license for that specific EA will be permanently revoked. The EA will be locked, and you will be permanently banned from registering any future MT5 account numbers for that specific EA product. By requesting a refund, you acknowledge and agree to this permanent lockout.

3. Payment Processing

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
